How is a Ferro Design collection born?

We have seen how a ring is created upon request of a customer, but the production of the Ferro Design collections is a whole other story!
As Fabrizio told me, studying the design of a new collection is a 360° journey of creativity and study, which fascinates external eyes and intrigues industry experts.

How is a Ferro Design collection born?

Who is it dedicated to?

Ferro Design hand made production starts first of all from the awareness of the people to whom it will be dedicated. Often, the production of jewelry and rings is aimed at women, but what kind of woman?
Fabrizio often aims at the contemporary woman, always on the move and with a thousand things to do every day, but who does not want to give up her femininity.
Especially in this historical moment, in which the living conditions and the time available are evolving in favor of a woman increasingly out of the house, it is important that those who wear a Ferro Design jewel always feel in order with themselves, even in the frenzy of the days.

The realization and the materials

Creating a piece of jewelry requires time, patience and a great deal of creative spirit.
The collections are often created by four hands, together with Gianluca Ferro. The first prototype of the jewel is handcrafted in the Ferro Gioielli laboratory, carefully selecting the lots of stones to be used.
These are chosen one by one, selected by colour , cut , purity and weight.

Small, precious collections

From the first prototype, then, some waxes are made, to be kept for future creations. Usually small collections are produced, for which it is important to make these waxes to be used in the future.

The castings are then made and, once ready, they are finished with a file, saw, sandpaper and brushes. The process of creating the jewels is the same as the one we talked about in this post, made of care and delicacy.

In short: attention to detail combines with expert craftsmanship and careful research into the highest quality raw materials. Each Ferro Design jewel is designed and produced with love and passion.
