Before putting on a precious jewel, we must always remember what we are about to do. If it is a day at the office or a gala evening, everything is fine, but if we are planning a workout or a nice swim, it is better to be careful and remember to remove the jewels at the right time. Rubbing, sweat, water and chlorine could ruin the surface of our jewels a lot, as well as excessively high temperatures!

Detergents and soaps

Even before a shower, let's take off our jewelry: the substances contained in soaps, creams and perfumes could stain and ruin them, altering the brilliance of metals and gems. It is better to be careful with detergents of all kinds and, if we have to clean our jewelry, let's rely on an expert or use a cloth dampened in a solution of neutral soap well diluted in water.

Our trusted jeweler always delivers our precious items enclosed in a soft case. It is normal to often lose the boxes or soft pouches, but it is enough to use a little soft cloth to store our jewelry safely. Be careful not to place your jewelry box near sources of heat or humidity.

An additional tip is to store the jewelry individually, to avoid bumps and frictions inside the same container. Bonus tip? It is better to close bracelets and necklaces with their own clasp.
