Give the gift of emotion at Christmas!

For many, at Christmas, the concept of “gift” represents an obligatory step to preserve a tradition or to please friends and relatives. A sort of habit that, unfortunately, is becoming increasingly commercial and consumerist, almost as if it no longer had the importance it once had. Today I would like to reflect, however, on the value that, in my opinion, a gift should have, especially in this magical and fascinating time of year! It is not about choosing a banal object, just to honor a relationship, but about knowing how to convey one's emotions and affection through a thought. Not an obligation, nor a habit: a gift must arise spontaneously, be thought of in honor of the recipient, with the intention not only of pleasing him, but above all of reliving and confirming the relationship that exists between you! For this reason, the ideal gift to find under the tree, carefully wrapped and with a beautiful bow, should have the power to convey a sincere emotion. A little package to unwrap undoubtedly makes everyone happy... but even more so if its contents are able to enclose a beautiful memory or become the symbol of a sincere and lasting affection. A symbolic jewel given to your mother to thank her for her ever-present help, a pocket watch for your father, who always manages to carve out some time for us...or a pendant for your sister's collection, to be chosen based on shared passions! Or, a bracelet with a masculine cut for your son, boyfriend, brother or best friend who loves minimalism; a ring as a classic symbol of love for your beloved or a beautiful pair of shiny earrings for your best friend, to remind her to always be energetic. Furthermore, if our gift is a valuable object, we will have the guarantee of sharing with our loved ones something that can become more and more precious as time goes by, just like our feelings: an added quality that should not be overlooked! In short: we must remember that, above all else, Christmas is the holiday par excellence that is able to enhance the bonds of affection and love between us and our loved ones! There is no more appropriate occasion to honor all this through a jewel or a quality accessory that symbolizes a memory, a thank you or an important sign of sharing! It doesn't matter if our gift is big or small, if it is accompanied by sincere feelings, such as love and friendship, capable of bringing back a happy memory every time it is observed, touched or worn. So let's start giving gifts a symbolic and emotional value, entrusting them with the task of transmitting a memory of joy, friendship, affection and love! And finally, by giving our gifts, we can spend Christmas with the same sincere emotion as when we were children.
