Gold, lucky is he who has it

The question I answer more and more often is about the situation related to gold… far be it from me to want to act like a financial guru. In fact, I allow myself to simply make considerations and to put into words what I experience thanks to my work…. Gold, always considered a safe haven, in recent years was almost snubbed for purchase or as a gift; a minimal jewel was preferred and if it was not made of the yellow precious metal, it was fine anyway because it was no longer perceived as status, also due to its low value that had been stagnant for years. Furthermore, spending needs have changed due to technology and advertising, telephones, computers, interactive games and alternative gifts that over time do not leave a trace of preciousness. Yes, because the… "you make a good impression when you give it as a gift and it lasts forever… you know it is gold (so I paid a lot for it), you enjoy it now and you will find it again tomorrow as a value…" is properly and inseparably linked to the gold jewel. Consider that only 10 years ago its value was negligible compared to the daily quotation, a value that has skyrocketed in the last year and for some market analysts not at its peak. So now, those who found themselves with gold objects or gifts in their homes, today have a value in their hands or, in the best of cases, a small fortune. If you want to sell it or convert it into other objects, the important thing is to have a fair market valuation, if it is too overvalued, there is a cat brooding, somewhere else they are taking it from you, in any case it is good to know instantly how much the valuation is per gram, without too many algebraic calculations that only risk making us confused.
Don't forget…
Summer has arrived and with the first warm weather the desire for the sea increases, the water becomes inviting and swimming comes naturally. In this regard I would like to remind you that a water resistance test is mandatory on waterproof or diving watches to avoid unpleasant and harmful infiltration of water particles inside the watch, ruining, sometimes seriously, the movement and the dial. A good watchmaking laboratory will also carry out the test in one day.
Happy summer to all
